When to fertilize
After flowering, keep the leaves and apply a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength about every two weeks while the bulb is actively growing. You can also feed lightly while it flowers.
If you choose an optional rest for a mature bulb, pause feeding when that rest begins and resume when active growth returns. You can keep the bulb outdoors or in a greenhouse over summer.
