Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Botanicaly app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.
Description of service
Botanicaly is a plant care app that provides AI-powered plant identification, care tracking, and weather-based care recommendations.
User accounts
- You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the service.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.
- You may not use as a username the name of another person or entity, or any name that is not lawfully available for use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Violate any local, state, national, or international law.
- Infringe upon the rights of others.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers.
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful materials.
AI & plant identification
The plant identification feature uses Google Gemini AI. While we strive for accuracy, the results should be considered educational recommendations rather than definitive expert advice. Never consume or touch unknown plants based solely on the app’s identification.
Intellectual property
The service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Botanicaly and its licensors. The service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.
Disclaimer of warranties
Your use of the service is at your sole risk. The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
In no event shall Botanicaly, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages resulting from your use of the service.
Changes to terms
We change these terms only for a valid reason: a change in law or regulation, security, new or changed features, or price changes under App Store and Google Play rules. If a change is material and to your disadvantage, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. You can cancel your subscription or delete your account until 30 days after the change takes effect. Other changes take effect when we publish them here with a new date.
Pro subscription & fair use
Botanicaly Pro is a subscription that unlocks Pro features. AI features have daily fair-use limits to prevent abuse and keep the service available. Plant identification has its own limit, while the other AI features share a separate limit. When a limit is reached, the affected AI feature pauses until the next UTC day. We may adjust these limits to keep the service available. A change that materially reduces what Pro includes follows the notice rule under Changes to terms.
