   Best position and light

   Give Crassula ovata a bright indoor position. Jade plants need bright light or full sun, not a dark room.

   Place the container at the brightest suitable window or equivalent bright position. Move it gradually from lower light into strong direct sun to reduce scorch risk. No single window direction or move schedule fits every home.

   Signs the light may be wrong

   Weak or stretched growth and a plant that stays pale or sparse can point to insufficient light. Bleached or scorched tissue after a sudden move can point to excessive or abrupt exposure.

   Limits of this light guide

   Watch your own plant rather than following a light number or a fixed seasonal move. Do not judge a named jade cultivar’s needs from another succulent or leaf color alone.
