   When to water

   Let the free-draining succulent mix dry between waterings while avoiding standing water and a permanently desiccated root ball.

   Water more sparingly during the cooler winter rest and adjust upward only as warmer, brighter growth resumes. Indoor frequency still depends on the room.

   How to water thoroughly

   Water lightly and infrequently after checking the mix and the condition of the beads. Follow the plant’s condition rather than a fixed day count.

   Use very free-draining succulent media and empty retained water so the roots are not left saturated. Persistent wetness raises the risk of root rot.

   Signs of too much or too little water

   Shriveled beads or bare stems call for a check of mix, light, temperature, and roots. Soft or rotting tissue points to an overly wet root zone that needs inspection.
