Soil for a peace lily

Best soil mix
Use three parts peat-free all-purpose potting mix to one part perlite. Any rich organic mix that drains well also suits peace lilies.
The medium should hold moisture without staying soggy: use a draining container and do not leave the plant in pooled water.

Match the mix to the pot and setting
This advice is for S. wallisii grown indoors in a container. It is usually sold simply as peace lily, and the same soil advice covers the group.

When soil alone is not the problem
What matters is organic content and free drainage. There is no set home ratio, amendment schedule or pH target, so do not guess the pH from a general aroid mix.
