Light needs for Aloe vera

   Best position and light

   Give Aloe vera bright light. Direct sun can help, but increase it gradually after low-light conditions to reduce scorch risk.

   Place the container near a bright window and introduce stronger direct sun gradually. Keep leaves from cold glass and heat sources while maintaining bright light.

   Seasonal light changes

   Reassess exposure as daylight changes. Keep the brightest available window in darker months, and filter or acclimate the plant before stronger summer sun.

   Signs the light may be wrong

   Pale, stretched, or leaning growth calls for a light check. Bleached or scorched patches after a sudden move into bright light call for less exposure or slower acclimation.

   Limits of this light guide

   For Aloe vera, also sold as Aloe barbadensis, use bright indoor light and increase direct sun gradually while watching the leaves for scorch. This advice is not for every Aloe species or for outdoor desert settings.
