Recheck more often when a warm room or brighter position dries the potting mix faster, and reduce calendar watering when light and growth fall. No universal winter interval is established.

  1. Water after the surface check and let the container drain instead of watering by a fixed weekly schedule. Amount and frequency change with pot size, light, temperature and room conditions.
  2. Discard excess water and do not leave Hedera helix standing in a wet container. The guidance does not set a particular mix or drainage-hole count.
