   Use cactus or succulent potting mix with mineral material that keeps the root zone open. You do not need an exact home-mixed recipe.

   Choose a container with drainage holes and a mix that dries between waterings. Avoid soggy mix and winter wetness, which can cause basal rot or kill the plant.

   Match the mix to the pot and setting

   This advice is for Ceropegia woodii in an indoor container or sheltered patio container using cactus mix. Do not broaden it to another Ceropegia species or an exposed outdoor border.

   An acid or neutral mix suits Ceropegia woodii. You do not need to aim for an exact pH number.

   The plant may also be labeled Ceropegia linearis subsp. woodii. Pick the mix and pot for drainage rather than a fixed recipe. If the label is unclear, treat it as an indoor pot plant.
