For soil-grown lucky bamboo, choose potting soil labeled for indoor or tropical plants. You do not need a special peat, bark, coir or perlite ratio.
Use a well-drained potting soil, water thoroughly and let excess leave through the holes. Do not leave the pot in saucer water.

This soil choice is for an indoor Dracaena sanderiana container. The same plant can grow in water, which uses a different setup. Bright indirect placement is not determined by the soil choice.
